Yay, it's Saturday! Today is going to be a much better day than yesterday. Giving away something free is always guaranteed to put me in good spirits. So...let's get on with it:

OK, lemme count backward from 68 to the chosen number 50...
My stars...it's none other than Tiffany!
There's so much that's right with this picture--the fact that she's completely photogenic, that fabulous necklace, that fabulous clevage (!), and fancy meatloaf. Yes, y'all...fancy meatloaf...at Croce's in San Diego. To die for! But I digress...
Truly, though...you are all winners if you're a lover of books, because my dear Sissy, who is a middle school librarian, is sharing some of her favorite recommendations with all of us. Sissy knows her stuff--so it's a WIN all around! I'm adding these to my long to-read list:
*The Blue Sword--Robin McKinley
*Dragonhaven--Robin McKinley
*Anne Frank and Me--Cherie Bennett
*Flipped--Wendelin Van Draanan
*The Truth About Forever--Sarah Dessen
*Speak--Laurie Halse Anderson (This one is brilliant--and heartbreaking. Go read! Then watch the movie version, starring Kristen Stewart. It's almost as good as the book.)
I have a few more chapters left in this one:
It's been very entertaining and surprising.
I have a whole Saturday before me, with laundry to tackle, a Bible study to write, e-mails to respond to...but I'm going to be honest here. I'm really just going to read most of the day...while Caroline naps, at least. It's fuel for brain power, or so I tell myself. Keeps any lingering guilt at bay. I highly recommend this tactic.
*Thanks for the prayers for my cousin, Brian. I hate cancer pretty much more than anything in the world. But we are going to keep praying...

Yea! I'm so glad Tiffany won!
Cause I can borrow them when she's done so it's kinda like I won too.
wink.wink.
It's cold and windy here... but I think I'm going to tackle some soup and this tree today.
Congrats to Tiffany! Lucky girl, a beautiful gold purse just arrived in her mail and now she win's a great giveaway!
Have a GREAT day, Lula-girl!!
Congrats to Tiffany!
And we are reading Speak for March's book club. I read all about it on Wikipedia. Sounds intense!
Yeah, Tiffany won! I am still just shocked that you posted on the weekend. ;)
I'd protest that the whole thing was rigged, but I'm so happy Tiffany won!
Yeah, nice, um, meatloaf...wowser.
I hope you have a lovely day reading. You need a chill day. Light some candles. Pour a little glass of wine before 5. :)
Yay Tiffany! My to-read list is so long. At this point I could do nothing but read for the next month and probably not get through it all. There's just so much good stuff out there! I'll have to add these, though, because, my dear, you have excellent taste in literature!
Reading has been my main focus today. Well, that and taking a nap! I am currently reading the first Sookie Stackhouse book. Vampires, who'd a thunk? =)
I will be praying for your cousin. This is like the 3rd person I have learned of having cancer in the last week. Not a great way to start a year!
Take care.
P.S. I have a little love for you at my blog...
I am glad you enjoyed my recommendations!
I haven't read the one that you talked about, but I gotta say that cover is amazing. I totally would have picked it up.
Congrats Tiffany.
And thanks Sissy ... I'm armed and ready for a library trip now!
Congrats Tiffany and give me that meatloaf...I am starving!
Congratulations to Tiffany.
Thanks for the book list. I'm gonna have to check those out. Speak, I've seen the movie and loved it! I will have to read the book.
Wow. I wouldn't say that photogenic is the right word if we are only using this picture as proof.
I think I am drunk in that picture.
And about to eat some DELISH meatloaf.
Fancy meatloaf.
And, now I am a WINNER!!!
Yeah for Tiffany. And I can't wait to add these new titles to my "to read" list. That list is starting to get long, I better get crackin'!
Yay for Tiff...she deserves it!
Oh, she'll enjoy that so much!!! Way to go, T!
