Bock-Bock!

For the past two days I have spent over 8 hours laboring in my yard. I now hurt. Badly. Just give me a key to the nursing home, because I honestly think that's where I belong. Oh, and I also have a sinus infection. Good times, y'all. But I shant complain...because this morning I watched my favorite commerical of all time. The last 5 seconds make me so very happy:

I totally want to dress my kids up as chicks...and teach Caroline to "bock." Come on, you know it's precious and adorable and cute as pie. It also makes me crave Peanut M&Ms, but that's beside the point.

Yesterday's SITS Spring Fling was a blast! Thanks for all your comment love. I will now ask Random Generator to choose who will be enjoying Jason-love in their own home:

Number five is Amy, from Escape Into My Thoughts!!! Congrats, Amy! I'll send my favorite Jason flick, a beachy Wallflower, and some boogie music your way.

Happy Wednesday, y'all! Mine will be happier after I've had a nap. Seriously.

Oh, thanks for posting that commercial. Good childhood memories.

I'm guessing those kids are probably out of college by now.

Nothing better for the soul than getting your hands dirty. Not so much for the back.

Classic. I was YouTubing with the teenager looking at old...excuse me...vintage commercial a few weeks back, and she was in tears laughing.

Her favorite was the Mickey Mouse gumball machine from the late 70's (yes, I too am vintage)with the 'Thanks for the gumball!'

Outside working...sinus problems...see a connection?

You're so funny! Cute commercial. I don't remember it. I hope you feel better soon. I feel like I am coming down with something too. If only Blue Moon had a magic elixir in it to ward it off.

Get betta! And congrats to Amy!

little kids dressed as chickens are cute

I haven't eaten my box of Lula M&Ms yet. I was kind of saving them for a moment of real weakness. That time might be now.

Go nap, girl, you definitely deserve it after two days of yard work!

Oh no! The sinus infection found you after all. SHOOT! I'm sorry, I thought you were going to make it in the clear. I'm jealous that you can get to your yard to work on it. Mine is still covered with snow. Yesterday it was SOOOO cold here. Seriously, hurt your hands and face cold. I'm ready for spring warmth. Thanks for the cute commercial. I TOTALLY remember that. Good stuff!

Wahoo Amy!!

Go get some rest and stop working outside. Why don't you hire a yard boy that looks like Jason and sit outside and watch him work? That sounds like good excercise to me....

Wow, does that ever bring back some memories!
I have the Italian Job. I'm going to have to go back and really watch it.
I've been taping old epi's of The Practice in hope to find a Michael Emerson episode. No such luck yet.
It comes on FX on Saturday mornings. I DVR it. Love me some Dylan McDermott.

Can I send you a hug in the mail? No one should have a sinus infection!

That blonde girl in the pink bedroom totally reminds me of my Sister in law when she was a kid .. crazy!

That commercial kinda makes me wanna dress up as a chicken and walk around yelling, "Bawk!"

Though, now that I really think about it, that would come off more terrifying than cute, huh?

April said...

Please do not make Caroline dress up and "BOCK BOCK"......that would be too much even for you, Lula!

Can't wait for you to post pics of your beautiful yard!

Jen said...

Oh Please dress up your girls like that, pretty pretty please. it would be so awesome to see.

Sorry so sore!! I am giggling though.

I remember that commercial. I love the colors of the M&M's. That was before you could buy all one color and before pastels. We were so cheated as kids!

My dorky husband quotes that commercial WAY more often than he'd like me to talk about (pssst. Its a lot).

I think dressing your kids up like chicks and recreating the commerical is an awesome idea...YouTube, here you come!
