Please tell me it's not just me...

So I promised pictures and a full recap of what I've been doing the past couple of weeks...but y'all...I just cannot find the time to sit at this laptop and devote an hour to uploading pictures for a post.

That sounds ridiculous, I know...who doesn't have an extra hour for blogging?

Well, I don't.

How are y'all doing it?  This summer, I mean?  I cannot remember ever being as busy as we've been over the past two months.  Those of you who are blogging daily, being as witty and entertaining as ever...I beg of you...HOW?

"Well, you're at the computer now, Lula..."  Go ahead, say it.  I've said it to myself.

But then I looked at the clock and realized I have to get my girls out of bed, feed them breakfast, go to the bank, darken the doors of the dreaded Walmart, pack their bags for the weekend, wash/iron/fold for about an hour, take them to have their hair trimmed, check in on Scott's great-grandmother, feed the outside kitties, backwash and shock the pool, water my ferns on the porches, mop the laundry room floor, and vacuum the entire house.  All before 3:30 pm.

And I just now had a mini-nervous breakdown.

Tomorrow Scott and I head to Texas for our yearly trip to Austin.  Some of you may remember what I was doing there last year.  It was kind of a big deal to me.

A long weekend of sitting poolside in the sun, eating delicious Tex-Mex, enjoying live music, catching the latest must-see at the theater, sleeping in, and not having any responsibility is definitely what I need.  I'm praying it will be a healing balm to my over-worked soul.

But before I can relax it seems I must spend the whole of today running around like a chicken with its head cut off.

Trust me when I tell you that I miss blogging regularly.  More than that, I miss each of you.  It sounds lame and trite, but it's the absolute truth.  I just need to get my act together, allow life to settle down a bit, and have y'all love me through it.

Will you please love me through it?  Thanks.
XOXO

And on a completely unrelated note, I must own this t-shirt.
Jim Henson is my hero.
I totally identify with Animal.

You're not along. I've noticed a huge change in the blogosphere as of late. I haven't changed at all because nothing about my schedule is different. If anything I have MORE time to blog because my numbers in the daycare have greatly decreased.

If anything this down time in blogland makes me feel like I don't HAVE to blog if I don't want to...because a lot of people aren't.

Thanks for the permission and have fun in Texas!!

It is not just you. I haven't blogged at all this week. Mostly because when I think of something to blog about...the idea of doing the uploading of pictures is what makes me procrastinate. And I surely cannot have a post without pictures.

That...and we are busy...but doing really boring things. Like taking the kids to the pool and tennis. The girls are at cooking class right now. I am working on my homeschool planning. Reading. Just stuff...and totally unblogworthy :-)

Dude. I freakin love the Muppets. Have you seen Muppet Christmas Carol? Probably my favorite movie ever...

Umm...hi. I will always love you. Especially when you love me through my rats-nest-hair-days.

Please relax. You deserve it.

It's not fair to post up that tee, and not say where it's available!

Soon enough, school will be back in session and life will be back to normal. You just take your long weekend away and you enjoy yourself. You deserve it!

PS - Apropos of nothing except the Jim Henson bit, have you heard they're talking about a sequel to The Dark Crystal (PLEASE TELL ME YOU LOVED THAT MOVIE?!)? This is either going to be the single worst idea ever or completely awesome. Henson Co is involved but no Frank Oz. I just can't imagine that they could recapture the wonder of the first one.

You must not have read my blog lately because I've been neither witty or entertaining. Instead I've been opinionated & pink.

Have a great time!

I will so love you thought it. It is hard to find the time.
Did you get your phone fixed? Are you getting my texts? Just wondering?

What's that that Cara said? A sequel to the Dark Crystal?! Be still my beating heart. I loved that movie! I can still remember my dad and I going to the theater together for my birthday and LOVING that movie.

Now I need to get the kids to watch it.

So, what were you blogging about? Having no time? Yep, I know that so well. It will be better in a couple of months. Surely, it will.

Have fun in Texas!

I think we are all on a much more realistic blogging schedule now. None of us are trying to be Prairie woman or whatever her name is. We all just want to document the happenings in our lives and have some people laugh with us about it. I don't feel bad if I don't blog but once a week. You're doing better than me, girl....
I hope you have a blast in Texas and if you eat at Ninfa's have some green sauce for me....

loving you through it....Melissa

Lula, I have noticed a change in people's blogging behaviors. Everyone seems to be busier than ever. Maybe it will settle back down once school is back in session. I don't know though, we'll have to wait and see.
Of course, we will love you through it. I hope you and Scott enjoy Austin and use plenty of sunscreen girlfriend.
And I totally LURVE animal from the muppets. He is my hero.
Have a great time.

It's been a crazy busy summer for me, too, so I can relate.

I miss you. I love you (in a non creapy way). I'll still be here when you get back. So have tons of fun for me, but don't forget to tell me all about it...........when life slows down. :)

Nope, you're not alone.

I've found myself doing more writing on my own blog than reading/commenting on others. My Google Reader is feeling a tad neglected...

Well you know how long it's been since I've blogged. Not intentional, was just thinking a short break, but I think it's been 2 months! It will be like starting over when I get back to it. I won't have a single follower left. But I have been writing blog posts in my head. Like when I'm in the shower or sitting on the potty ... I come up with my best stuff! But I never make it to the computer to write it down!

Sigh ... Such is life. And it's just busy now. But good. And I'm thankful! And I'll keep checkin' in on ya ... don't worry.

p.s. My 4 year old thinks the Muppets' "Mah-nah-nah-nah" song is the funniest thing in the universe!

Uh yeah, my blog has been on life support most of the summer. I just did a blog post about this very thing a couple of days ago. I'm so glad I'm not the only one!
