Anticipation.

Twilight. Little over 1 month away from the big screen debut, starring Robert Pattinson as Edward and Kristen Stewart as Bella. As I've stated before, to say I'm excited is putting it mildly.

For all of you non-Twilighters, I sincerely mourn for you. I'm sorry you have not joined our Edward & Bella bandwagon. There's still time, though--start reading now. For the rest of us...simply take in & relish these newly released pictures*, and celebrate the glory that is the love story of our age. Indeed.

It's Rob-As-Edward. How you doin'?

Method. Acting. That's all I'm gonna say. Just putting it out there.

Rob is particularly Edwardish in this shot, no? It makes me happy.

Again, he's looking very much the part of our Edward, and Kristen seems to be channeling Bella as if her life depends upon it, and it better. And again, it makes me very happy.

Let's ignore the wardrobe and instead focus on how he is looking at her. Because that's the point.

But you want to know what makes me happiest? Truly giddy with delight?

This: My friends, this is exactly how I've spent the past year picturing Edward & Bella in my head. And now it's coming to life...before our eyes. Judge if you must upon this admission, but trust me when I tell you that my heart literally skipped a beat when I first saw this picture.

Hello, my name is Lula and I am a Twilighter. Loud & proud, y'all!

*pictures originally from www.twilight-derfilm.de/

p.s. One more picture...this is my niece, Eliza, who turns 2 on the 21st. I love her with every fiber of my being, and this photo made me want to smother her in kisses. More than usual, I mean. Here she is with the copy of Twilight her Aunt Lula (or "Aunt Lola," as she calls me!) gave to her Mommy. No aunt has ever been more proud! I love you, Lizee!

Girl, these pictures make me all giddy inside.

As you well know, Robert Patterson was not my first choice, but he is growing on me.

Kristin Stewart was born to play Bella. Did you know she has a pet wolf and drive an old, red truck?

Can't wait.

Hunger Games was totally and completely amazing.

I've been "stalking" you from Heather at "This is the day"'s blog and I've know added you to my blog list at my new blog. I just started reading the Twilight books and now I can't wait to see the movie!

Love these pictures. I can't wait either. Did I tell you there is a guy at my gym that my friend and I call Edward? If he doesn't open his mouth he reminds exactly of him. His abs are like granite :) .
And along with Tiffany, I loved The Hunger Games. Thanks for that!

OMG, I love these pictures. I have goose bumps all over and the prom picture made me gasp!!!! I am super excited as the days to November 21st (and November 8th)draw closer.

You are VERY welcome! When I saw the bling, you were the first person who popped into my mind. I am still 'stuck' on the 3rd book. Since going back to work fulltime, I don't have as much time to read, but I am hanging in there. I can't wait for the movie, that Robert Pattinson is hard not to fall for. *Swoon*

I don't think the guy is as cute as I picture Edward to be in my head, but he'll grow on me!!! Your niece is adorable!!!

My name is Sissy and I am a Twilighter. All the way. Those pics made me sooo happy...thank you, Lula. I have started putting together a group here that will go see the movie (Ms. Pocket Change and Ms. Chatting at the Sky.) We are all super excited to go. And it is the day after my birthday, so really the movie is like a present to me. I mean, why else would they have moved the date up?

I'll be sending Katie over to read. She hit me with a bunch of comments yesterday on my blog. She wanted to be part of that top commenters list! She might give ya a little luv. If I let her.

And ya'll need to summit some more about her Halloween costume. I have heard that you can order Forks High School t-shirts from the Forks chamber of commerce. So, I am going to check that out for her.

I cannot wait to see the movie with her!

I think all children should be raised with Twilight at their fingertips. I read it quietly to my children after they sleep.

Hahahahaha! I love it. I just don't think he's all that attractive. That EW cover was awful.

Even though the books make me angry, I will probably see the movie.

Carry on!

For some reason I like the one where he is holding on to the tree and looking at her face. There is nothing hotter than a guy with a mock smile on his face when he is looking at you.

And, that does it. I'm growing my hair out like Bella's.

Live.Love.Eat said...

This makes me all warm & fuzzy. I agree with Tiffany and how he wasn't my 1st choice but I'LL TAKE HIM!!! And I must now go to Stephanie P's blog and ask her why the books made her angry. I just can't imagine :)

I am so super excited for this movie. This will be the 1st ever movie that I plan to drop my life for to be there on opening night or day or dawn or breaking dawn, whatev!!!!!

I meant Kristina P.

Hoo, girl. Have you started the Twilight Heads Fan Club Yet? I'm sure Jimmy Buffett and the Grateful Dead wouldn't mind the borrowing. You could start a whole second blog with your love for this...

ParentingPink said...

Great post! I've got an award for you over on my blog. Come and pick it up whenever!

Kristina P. said...

OK, I might have misspoke. The books don't make me angry. I don't think they're very good, but they are what they are. Young Adult novels.

However, the hype and the culture make me angry. I live in Utah, where the hype is unreal. And I've been berated by women for not liking the series. So, it's probably the overall trend of it all.

I really tend to fight hype in general, so that probably added to it.

See, we can still all be friends and have different opinions!

I just wanted to let you know that because of you, I have converted 4 girls and a GUY to the Twilight side of life! You should be very proud that your influence has spread so far!

Is it wrong to admit I got chills when I saw the pictures? And the previews on Entertainment Tonight?

I hope not.

I can't wait till the movie comes out! I'm not done with the books yet, but I'm about to start number 3. I so hope the movie does them justice.

i'm with ya!! can't wait! i just finished the last book- i'm jonesing somethin' awful.

I LOVE the Twilight books! I'm only halfway through Eclipse now, but I've already got Breaking Dawn waiting for me.
The movie comes out on my birthday, and I'm excited to see it. However, I am totally scared that with all of the hype, the movie may be a letdown. I've been disappointed before by movies based on books I've read. Are you at all afraid of the movie being a disappointment, or do you think you'll be able to overlook all of the inaccuracies in it?

Angie's Spot said...

I'm getting rather excited about the movie. I finally picked up a copy of New Moon this past weekend. Gotta get reading on it!

Jenn Erickson said...

Eliza is adorable! Happy SITS day and birthday! My good friend implored me for months to read Twilight. It wasn't that I had anything against it that was holding me back ~ it was a big stack of books ahead of it in line. Well, I finally finished the stack about a month ago and have whipped through Twilight and am half way through New Moon. Yeah, I totally get it! I'm on the bandwagon and am not ashamed to say it. Great books! Not my usual genre, but I'm "sucked" in!
