If I Were A Carpenter...

...I'd have a lot of fabulous furniture. Or at least I'd try to sing as well as Bobby Darin.

How about if I were a holiday?
I'd be Christmas Eve.

If I were a time of day?
Make me twilight, please.  At the beach.
"Heavenly shades of night are falling, it's twilight time..."--The Platters

What drink would I be?
Coke is IT!  In a bottle, please.

What food would I be?
Crab legs.  At least 5 pounds of 'em.

If I were a gadget?
The iPod is the greatest invention of all time.

What flower would I be?
A peony.  Beauty & fragrance, all in one!

If I were a song?
Joe Cocker's version of "Bye-Bye Blackbird."

What movie would I be?
Gone With the Wind.  Amen.

If had to be a place, what would I be?
A pink beach house on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

What book would I be?
My all time favorite:

If I were a shoe, which would best suit me?
This Louboutin, of course.

And I were a piece of clothing, what would I be?
Grace Kelly's entire wardrobe in the film Rear Window.

But I'm not Bobby Darin...Grace Kelly...crab legs...or the billion dollar secret that is "Co-Cola," as my beloved Papaw Raley called it.  No, I'm just Lula:
Greasy, grimy, reeking of Coppertone, and keepin' it real.
I  may or may not be wearing a swimsuit.  Don't judge.

Your turn...tell me what drink, shoe, place, book, song, etc., you'd be!

*If I could meet a bloggy BFF in August, it'd be Kristen.  Thanks for the fodder, as always, and much love to you!

I like this, it sounds fun! Can I play along?

Off the top of my head...
Drink: Dr. Pepper
Movie: Garden State. Or Bridget Jone's Diary.
Place: Salzburg, Austria. My heart still lives there.
Book: "A Swiftly Tilting Planet" by Madeleine L'Engle...MY all time favorite.
Song: This one's hard for me. I don't think I can be defined with just one, but for now I'll say "Extraordinary Machine" by Fiona Apple. Why? Just because.

Thanks for the fun, Lula!

I can't get past the line, "And you were my lady. Would you marry me anyway, would you have my baby?"

Okay, now that's out of the way. I like "being" a song. I have to think about that.
If I were a book I'd be The Time Travelers WIfe
if I were a drink I'd be a tall glass of water! :) Cause I'm small.
Movie?? What's Up Doc?

I can't commit to a song! I'll be back.

I don't know about the other stuff but I'd definitely be a sweet tea, with a slighty bad attitude.

And if you "are what you eat" I'd be Chinese right now. I'm just sayin'...

I really can appreciate that little pink house right now, especially since I still have the post vacation blues from Hilton Head.

I'd be a filet mignon with a side of shrimp scampi over linguine. As for a drink I would be a perfectly sweetened iced coffee with a hint of Baileys. Place: an eccentric bed & breakfast right on the bay in Islamorada, FL.

I may have to steal this this week. Thanks for the inspiration.

Coke and Gone With the Wind would be my picks too.

I would have to think too hard for all that, but if I were a carpenter it'd be Karen...with a different ending, of course.

I'd be a peony too, and I LOVE this picture of you.

Love, love, LOVE the Westing Game. And co-cola is like Miss'ippi. My family has always left a syllable (or two!) out of each of those!
