Flashback Friday!

"Get my drink on, then get on the dance floor..."--50 Cent

Because this picture was taken 4 years ago I am safe in the knowledge that none of you will call Child Protective Services on me. Isn't she a cute little tispy person? Can't you just hear her saying, "One more round for everybody!"

It takes so little to make me happy, y'all.

Of course that's just a strawberry/banana smoothie. Do I even have to tell y'all that?

We took this photo in Nags Head, NC, in the summer of 2004 and I begged Scott to let this be our Christmas card photo that year. I mean, the child looks three sheets to the wind. And tell me this doesn't scream, "CHRISTMAS GREETINGS! HAPPIEST OF NEW YEARS!" In the end decency and decorum won out...that would be Scott's decency and decorum...my 2.5 year old faux drunk child did not.

It still makes me laugh. Hence the reason Libbey is my Flashback Friday poster child!
Have a great weekend, y'all!

p.s. Thanks for all the wonderful, loving and heartfelt comments about my post on my friend Ramey. It really helped make these sad days a bit brighter. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. I love y'all!

She looks so little! How time flies. One day they are little and the next all grown up!

Hi there! I just found your blog and noticed that you live in Pennington Gap. My brother Dennis and his family lived there for a few years, oh around the late 80's/early 90's. He was the pastor of First Baptist for a few years until they moved to Michigan. Pennington Gap is such a nice little town and SW Virginia is beautiful!

Haha, a cute little lush.

I hope you are feeling God's love right now, sweet love muffin.

Let's hoe she does not grow up to driink those....sissy drinks.
(if you are gonna drink...drink!)
Anyway..I would have used that for the card. Very cute. If I were 2.5...I'd throw her a wink.

Hey, you've got to start training them early otherwise they'll have no tolerance when they hit high school. Just kidding, of course! She's absolutely adorable!

Lula, I left a link to your blog on mine. I also left you a tasty tidbit of info on my most recent post. Check it out. That picture of Libbey is too funny. She totally looks wasted!

On a more serious note, I am so, so, sorry about Ramey. She sounds like she was a wonderful woman and human being. I'm so glad that she isn't suffering anymore, but is dancing with Jesus. And Judah, don't get me started with how sweet he sounds. Just want to squeeze him. Here's a squeeze for you too. **Squeeze**

I love that picture! It would be great for a Christmas card. Or a New Year's card. Or how about a birthday party invite? :-)

Cute photo!

When I was little I used to drink Shirley Temples when my parents would have a drink out!

Have a great week-end!

That picture is hilarious! I'm with Kat on using that for a bday party invite sometime. Hysterical!

Next time you drive through NC, you must stop by my house!

Anyway, so fun. She does look a little sleepy/tipsy in that photo, but I am sure it is just the way she blinked when the flash went off? Right?

That is the BEST!!! Seriously...you need to make it into some sort of greeting card because the cuteness is just too much.
